The Rams are taking a look at an offensive
lineman who was drafted with a pick included in the Percy Harvin trade.Offensive
guard Travis Bond, whom the Panthers let go on Monday, has been awarded to St.
Louis on waivers, according to the NFL’s transaction log.A North Carolina
product, Bond (6-6, 330) was a seventh-round selection of the Vikings in 2013.
The Panthers signed Bond from Minnesota’s
practice squad in November, and he appeared in two regular season games for Carolina, playing six
snaps (four offense, two special teams).
Bond primarily played right guard in
college, but he also made a handful of starts at right tackle, and positional
versatility would probably help his cause in making the Rams’ roster.
